I have been involved in more than 7 different components of the education sector like technical, agricultural, higher education, secondary and primary education as well as the sport and cultural environment with the federations sector. Here are just a few of my noteworthy talents:

HOW I GOT MY EXPIERIENCE IN MANAGEMENT, TRAINING AND SKILLS DEVELOPMENT

How it started!

I have been so privileged to be exposed in school leadership as prefect and Head Boy of a school and school hostel. (Two years) - High school

Also at university- and the defence force levels I have been involved in student and officer leadership positions for 6 years.

Retired education official for 38 years with experience in education and management.

Strategic management training experience:

I have been a school principal for 18 years and in my daily responsibility as a principal strategic management training was part of the job.

I started as a first time educator for 4 years, followed by 4 years as a departmental head and then 3 months being deputy principal before appointed as a school principal. I have retired as the DCES: Manager Vocational Schools in the Free State Province, responsible for all Technical- and Agricultural schools in support, governance and management of +/-57 schools.

I am also highly involved in the national structure of technical schools in South Africa as the National General Secretary of NAST (National Association of Technical Schools).

Other management and training experience:

• Management member in all positions in athletics from secretary to chairperson, organizing events, camps and been chairperson of Free State Schools Athletics over a period of 34 years.
• Board member of SASA (SA Schools Athletics) as Executive Member Development Coaching for 18 years.
• Board member of Athletics Free State.
• Free State Schools Coaching Association – secretary, course leader and head coach over 28 years.

Qualified as coach (LEVELS):

• Level 3 coaching SAAAU (1989-)
• Level 3 coaching Athletics SA (2004 -)
• National ASA Coach
• National - SA School Athletic Convenor and Selector - SA Schools Athletics (2001 - 2022)
• National - SA School Athletic Team Manager and Youth Athletics South Africa (2006 -2012)
• IAAF course in Kenya - qualified as Chief Youth National Development Coach/Official in South Africa for talent identification.

Today and in the future I want to make a difference in people’s, quality of life. In the support I can bring, assisting them to believe in themselves, and very important celebrating with them when they overcome their challenges and then be a better version as humans and leaders in their own right.
